Formed in Akron, Ohio, in 1974, Devo took its name from their concept of "de-evolution" - the idea that instead of evolving, mankind has actually regressed, as evidenced by the dysfunction and herd mentality of American society.
Founder Gerald Casale will be present at The GRAMMY Museum to present Bruce Conner's 4-minute experimental film with Devo, Mongoloid, a compilation of music videos, The Complete Truth About De-Evolution and a new piece of video art called Don't Shoot (I'm a Man).
